As First Mate with CatZero—a Hull-based personal development charity operating a 72ft Challenge racing yacht—I have a unique vantage point for investigating the sea through art. On each voyage, I facilitate workshops in cyanotype, watercolour, and poetry, working alongside participants to explore themes of distance, loss, and the Nautical Sublime.

The series below features cyanotype prints created while docked near St Abbs, Scotland. On the reverse, participants wrote "Epistle Poems"—letters to loved ones back home describing the surrounding sea and cliffs. Because these writings were deeply personal to the crew, only the artwork is shared here.
